Isomex3 is industry-standard, Aviation Authority (SAE-AMS 1435E) approved runway and helipad de-icer effective as low as -50°C and the same de-icer used by civil and military airports. Isomex3 is engineered specifically for airports, aerodromes and helipads.

Environmentally Friendly Liquid De-icer

Isomex3 is non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-hazardous Potassium Acetate formulation. Isomex3 is chloride-free, urea-free and glycol-free and includes corrosion inhibitors and thixotropic viscosity modifiers ensuring runways and taxiways remain clear without causing damage to sensitive surfaces. It has a low biological oxygen demand and is non-hazardous to operators. It produces no toxic ammonia on breakdown and effectively supersedes solid urea and glycol for runway de-icing.

Non-corrosive Runway De-icer

While salt products are harmful to plants and animals and corrosive to metals, concrete and tarmac, Isomex3 is virtually completely non-corrosive, not only protecting surfaces, but also vehicles.

Effective low temperature de-icing

While normal rock salt and grit is effective to -9°C, Extreme Liquid De-icer is effective to -12°C, Isomex3 is effective to as low as -50°C.

It prevents re-icing for 24-48 hours without reapplication (if rain has washed away the de-icer, reapplication will be required.)

How to use Isomex3 Runway Liquid De-Icer

It is best to apply Isomex3 runway de-icer in advance of cold weather to prevent ice forming. Providing it does not rain heavily, and application on the day before the expected freeze, Isomex3 will prevent ice forming on all surfaces.

Isomex3 is super-concentrated and applied undiluted

To prevent ice forming, an application of 15ml per square metre is recommended. (One 20L drum will cover an area of 1333m2)

    Applying Isomex3 before frost can prevent ice forming for 24-48 hours, providing reliable, long-lasting performance.

For clearing established ice, apply at a rate of 30ml per square metre. (One 20L drum will cover an area of 667m2).

    Isomex 3 quickly penetrates snow and ice, breaking the bond with the surface for easy removal by brushing or shoveling. Any residual product helps inhibit further ice formation.

The thickened formulation of Isomex3 ensures it stays where it’s needed for longer periods, providing extended protection against ice formation

Where to use Isomex3

Although this is an industrial grade de-icer approved for use on civil and military airport runways, it is just as effective on carparks, bridges, roads and footpaths.
