Grit Bins Salt boxes

While Rock Salt has been under the ground for millions of years and will outlast all of us, it is beneficial to protect it against the elements if it cannot be stored inside somewhere dry.

For Non-Salt deicers (exoTHAW) - it is essential that these are stored in a dedicated container in a dry location (not outside) as these are highly hygroscopic (they draw moisture form the air) and form a liquid which upon drying will set rock-hard rendering the de-icer unusable.

Even if your salt is stored indoors, it is best for Health & Safety reasons to have this stored in a designated container.
