SALTMASTER GSI45 - 45kg STAINLESS STEEL Pedestrian Salt Spreader
The SALTMASTER GSI45 is a full STAINLESS STEEL grit spreader with c.45kg capacity. The stainless steel frame and all hardware is extremely rust-resistant for all-year-round use on small to medium sized premises for spreading de-icer on roads, footpaths and walkways.
SALTMASTER GSI45 has a three hole, solid-bar controlled drop mechanism, plus BIG 300mm, pneumatic tyres. The rectangular hopper with mesh grid reduces clumps and ensures an even spread of your rock salt grit de-icer.
Including clear rain-cover which enables the spreader to operate well in damp conditions and keeps the grit and salt dry and free flowing.

Salt Type
It is advised that all push spreaders use clean, dry salt which conforms to BS 3247. Damp, wet, clumped salt will not flow freely through this spreader. It is not suitable for the White Marine Salt due to its higher moisture content and finer grade.
Assembly
These spreaders are simple assembly with full instructions. Expect them to take under an hour to assemble, best done by 2 people. We can assemble these for you, simply choose this option at the checkout.
Delivery
Fully assembled spreaders despatched to GB and IE are secured onto a pallet to protect them in transport, for which there is an additional charge.
If you prefer to assemble yourself, then the spreader is despatched by courier to you in a box with instructions with free delivery.

Care for your Grit SpreaderSalt is corrosive, even on stainless steel. You should wash out your spreader after every use (with water and a pressure washer) and allow it to dry. Do not leave salt in the spreader, even overnight. When you are retiring the spreader after the winter season, make sure it is properly washed and dried and stored somewhere dry until next use. Grease the gears (if they are accessible). Oil the wheels and lubricate any moving parts so they do not cease as they sit for a year. Your spreader will last for years if properly maintained. * All Spreaders are designed to be used with dry, free-flowing salt. The dryness of salt cannot always be guaranteed. Even spreaders that have been designed to cope better with damp salt have a tolerance level beyond which they will not operate to their best efficiency. For best results only part-fill spreaders.
