Rock Salt Grit
Our Rock Salt Grit is a brown salt that is mined locally at the Carrickfergus Mines on the edge of the Belfast Lough. It is
naturally brown in colour and contains a fine grit (or 'marl' - this is a sediment which comes from the sand stone from
which the salt is blasted) which provides better grip under-foot and under the wheels of cars.
This is an industry standard salt as used by the Roads Service and conforms to BS 3247. Contains an anti-caking agent
to prevent clumping
Supplied in 25kg bags, 1 ton pallets of 40x25kg bags, 1 tonne bags, or bulk loose loads.
White Marine Salt
This white salt is an imported European marine salt. It is cleaner than the brown salt as it does not contain the
same grit as the brown salt and so does not stain the snow. This is a premium quality salt which is finer than white or
brown rock salt, ideal for hand scattering but not for using in a push spreader. It has a higher moisture content than the
rock salt which aids ice melting. It does not contain the larger crystal 'rocks' which need to be crushed by foot or vehicle
traffic.

'Non-Salt' De-Icer : exoTHAW CC
This 'non-salt' de-icer is a Calcium Chloride formulation.
This not only provides protection from ice down as low as -45oC but it is are also kinder to concrete, metals,
plant-life and animals. The reduced freeze/thaw cycles (due to the low freezing temperatures) protect concrete.
This is a safe de-icer and conforms to the British Standards.

Liquid De-Icer
Liquid De-Icer acts immediately. Where salt or solid de-icers require moisture to start the thawing process, liquid
deicer starts working on contact. Especially useful on hard to access, sloped areas (such as rooves) or where solid de-
icers may roll off or blow away in strong winds.
Supplied in 10 Litre containers.
